My Experience With Business

My junior year in high school, a buddy of mine and I decided that we would take our knowledge of health and fitness and try to make a few extra dollars. We had an idea, that since we were looked upon as fitness junkies, we could work with those who wanted to learn more in that area; and possibly improve their physique...for money! So we started talkin to kids, makin flyers, we even had t-shirts made that everyone bought. I was in charge of the custom design for the shirt, as well as the up front cost, and also designing a fitness regiment that was suitable according to each persons needs. We were workin with kids 3x a week, for 25$...and in return, we guaranteed them results, a free t-shirt, and a discount at various shops who we had as sponsors. In the end, we made a little over 200$ each. But it was seeing how our knowledge of something, led to another person's boost in confidence, physique, and self-esteem that made it worth while. Of course money is awesome, but knowing that I could demonstrate something I loved, and in a business manner...I knew that I could grow up and spend the rest of my life doing something I loved!

Hah, that's awesome, a good way to make money. I would've definitely signed up if there was something like that at my high school. So was it $25 all in all, or $25 a week? either way, much much cheaper than a personal trainer, good deal

That sounds like an awesome way to make some extra cash! I might've considered signing up for something like that in high school also, haha. People have always been telling me to do what I love, and not worry about what the payment is. This is a perfect example :)

Yeah that's pretty sweet. It would have been pretty cool to have some people in my school that did something like that. A bunch of people sold shirts but no one ever thought about being a physical fitness trainer. haha. nice way to get a little extra.

That's a great way to make some extra money! I wish people at my school sold t-shirts. Well, maybe I'll see you at the GYM!

Yeah, that was a good idea. You have any free T-shirts left? If so bring them to class. I wear a large.
